Now, I don't even own a winter coat. And on the rare occassion that it does snow where I live, my rain boots will double for snow boots. Schools, stores, corporations, Dr. offices, and even churches close down at the mention of snow. This is not an exageration! And for some reason the weather guys never seem to get it quite right.
This past week, there was a weather system coming in from the southwest (through Texas, Askansas, Alabama and finally to Georgia). They predicted that the majority of the snow fall would land south of Atlanta. So, no salt trucks were sent out to prepare the roads for what actually came...
What actually came was the most snow I've seen since I've lived here! Four whole inches (where I live)! It was awesome. It was beautiful and peaceful and magical. It even stopped my two year old in his tracks for about 5 whole minutes as he marveled at the window watching the snowflakes fall. I was home with the kids while Felipe was working. And as much of a task as it is to get a 2 year old, a 6 month old and myself bunddled up to go play in the snow, I could not miss out on the opportunity.
Teo was in awe, and I wished I had a few extra hands to take more pictures, prop up baby, help Teo with his snow angle, etc. So, I was doing good to even get these few shots to remember the day by. Teo is still talking about playing in the snow, and its been gone for two days now!
I am so glad you've started this. I can't wait to keep up with all of your adventures in mommyhood.
